Briteny and Rusty are on their way to KEY Animal Hospital

Just as Britney was about to board a plane, I pulled her off and put her in a car to drive Rusty to KEY Animal Hospital - Karl E. Yurko DVM instead. When I took him back to the vet yesterday he had a dizzy thing going on and the day before the vet found a sore spot on his abdomen. He is extremely underweight and very lethargic. Definitely an infection somewhere inside. No coughing or goopy anything, just dizzy. Later X-rays indicated his intestine may have accordioned itself but she wasn’t sure and wanted to get him stable before surgery.

So we anxiously waited for news this morning.

It didn’t turn out so great. It wasn’t his intestine.

Rusty is getting rehydrated with the fluids which is making him feel better but he still has the dizzy thing going on. No other symptoms besides that and it almost killed him. The vet here that’s been caring for him got him stable enough so he could travel.

Britney is taking him as we speak to WV to be cared for by Jen and Karl who once again, come through for us and never hesitate to jump through hoops to help these dogs.

Every positive thought, prayer, vibe , whatever it is you can throw at Rusty to get his husky butt back here so he can find his furever home, is needed. He already went through hell wasting away and winding up in a shelter. He just got his life back. Too much time has been wasted, it’s time for him to go home.
