This is Abbott, and he is absolutely adorable! I know I say that about all of our huskies, but just look at him! Look at those cheeks! I just want to reach through my phone and squish them!
Seriously, he is too cute. I couldn't pick just one or two pictures to share. Melissa sent me four, and you guys are getting all four. Because. of. that. expressive. little. face.
It gets better because Abbott is a short, chunky, goofy love bug. He loves to give hugs and is always eager to show affection. His great big puppy dog eyes say, "I am still a puppy, please love me," and that makes it impossible for anyone at the rescue to walk by without stopping to give him a head scritch and lovin's.
In fact, he is still really young. H3 pulled him from the Apple Valley Shelter during a sweep back in October, and Abbott was just a six-month-old puppy then, already at risk of euthanasia. Now he’s spent most of his puppyhood at the rescue, waiting for his forever home.
Abbott tends to get bullied in larger packs, so he’s more comfortable in smaller, calmer groups. He has a medium energy level, with bursts of puppy energy that make him a delight to be around. However, he is not good with cats and would do best in a cat-free home. He does well with grooming and enjoys the attention he gets during his pampering sessions.
This sweet, affectionate boy is ready to fill your life with hugs and laughter. Please don't make him wait much longer. Let's get him home soon.
Abbott is currently located at Husky Halfway House in Oklahoma. All H3 dogs, including Abbott, are available for adoption throughout the USA, except for Hawaii and Alaska. We offer transportation services directly to your door upon approval of your application.
