Meet Lyra and Vega: The Dynamic Duo!

These precious red girls found themselves in need of rescue when they were at risk of being euthanized due to their shelter closing for renovations. With no paperwork or background information, Lyra and Vega are eager to leave their past behind and start anew in a loving and caring environment.

These beautiful girls are a package deal, they share a special bond and must be adopted together. Lyra and Vega are both on the shy side, but with a little time and patience, they are sure to blossom.

Vega is the first to greet you with a wagging tail and a gentle nudge, as she has a more outgoing personality, she loves treats, head scratches and talking to people! As she is a very vocal husky. Her affectionate nature shines through once she feels comfortable.

Lyra is a bit more reserved, but she follows Vega's lead and is eager to learn to trust. Once Vega shows her the way, Lyra opens up and enjoys the warmth of human companionship. Don't be surprised if she starts seeking out belly rubs once she feels at ease! Lyra may also surprise you with her unique form of communication—screaming! Which honestly tells you about her personality and adds to her charm.

Both girls are currently located at Husky Halfway House in Oklahoma. All H3 dogs, including Lyra and Vega, are available for adoption throughout the USA, except for Hawaii and Alaska.
