See message I got this morning from the shelter. 👇
I would like to have been there in the morning when they came into a husky stuck inside a metal door.
Well, this one isn't at risk for euthanasia, but he is at risk for harming himself. Let’s go get his gumby butt out of there before he hurts himself.
"Hey Jenni this is the Moore Animal Shelter, we have a beautiful husky here who is super sweet that is in desperate need of rescue. I would normally just keep him here and keep him up for adoption bc I know he is very adoptable but he is hurting himself in our kennels. He was fine the first few days but he now hates being kenneled and tries to escape at night. The first time he did it, he somehow squeezed his fat butt through our little swivel doors at the bottom of the kennel door that is used for food or water, they are tiny openings and he is not lol. The next time he did it he wasn’t as successful and got stuck so he ended up pulling the entire door off with him while still stuck. After that we decided we needed to lock those better for his own protection so we rigged an actual lock on it thinking that would be best to keep him safe but instead he ended up breaking the actual water bucket that is made of stainless steel and sliced his lip and paw (superficial but still bled a ton). If you don’t have the space I completely understand but I thought I’d reach out to you just in case. He is fine other than at night in the kennels bc he is normally very well behaved and such a good boy. He is probably 4-6 years old and already neutered."
