We all love updates on our huskies

So, check out Niko in his foster home, with his foster Mama Tammy! We will need a home for Niko in South Carolina, so she can stay in touch with him.

Niko is handsome (obviously) and has just a little of that husky-tude that we love them all for. He absolutely loves people and is very easily corrected if the 'tude starts to go too far into sasshole territory. He wants to please and will be your best friend for life—especially if you give him meaty treats.

He has spurts of high energy but can also be laid back. Just look at that cuddle session!

Our handsome dude gets a tad grumpy when being brushed or if we try to use a dryer on him. But we can't really blame him. When he came to us, his tail was so matted and coated in poop that it had to be shaved, which drove him crazy because a weird stick thing replaced his beautiful tail. Not to worry though, his tail is back to being fluffy and as cute as the rest of him.

Now, a lot of people are going to ask us about fostering. Which is great! But we do things a little bit differently than everyone else. First, we do not use fosters on an emergency basis. Our fosters take one of our rehabbed huskies into their homes, network them, love them and get them some more house skills. It helps take the load off of us because the fosters are actively looking for a home for the husky in their care.

Second - The approval process to become a foster is the same as our adoption process. Go to www.huskyhalfwayhouse.org/adopt
